Too true, if that is what it is called then i am definitely looking forward to it. Very envious on our tent travels when a parker pulled up beside us. Plenty of stalking going on during the trip and a few quite ale's with fellow parkers discussing their expanda's.
We travel around a bit, and every so often on a balmy evening or a mild mid morning, we're limited a bit now with where we can camp and look at the tent or tent trailer dudes enjoying the outdoor camping lifestyle and I fondly remember the old days with a touch of reminicent envy for that simple go anywhere actual camping ...... then the rain and the cold and the wind belts through, and I say to myself "mmmmm, good tactical decision there Mr Crusty. Well done Sir". I then lie back on the couch with the Foxtel and the remote control aircon (or ducted diesel heater). My biggest challenge is the wondering wondering if I can get through that 6 inch gap between the van awning and car without getting wet.

But its seeing those campers packing up wet tent, in the rain, that truly snuffs out the nostalgia.

Welcome @12Enjoy ,August isn't too far off.
Good choice of van, what options have you ordered?
Plenty of great advice and friends to be found on here.
Between myself and my lovely almost anything you can. Main ones were i put 300 watts of solar and 2 x 100 amp batteries, swapped the fridge to a Waeco 12/24/240 volt fridge/freezer, shelf inserts into the cupboard, external shower, table and any other fruit i can find:) no stalking van's to see the best option of making a box for the A frame to house 40ltr Engel and Honda EU20i plus the 2 x gas bottles. May move gen set to rear

@Crusty181 you havent got a "ducted diesel heater" have you????
As a matter of fact I have @AzHaych, thanks for asking. Im currently writing a song about it ... its sort of a love song/ballad. Im hoping @Bluey can didge the chorus. Theres two kinds of people in this world; theres the ones with diesel heaters, and then (unfortunately) theres the ones without.
