Hello all. Have been reading this forum for a while. Finally joined up. We have a 2013 16 49 4 OB with all the usual extras for free camping. Love the new look black checker plate. Only problem so far is the tow height. Looking forward to lots of use and maybe some new friends.

Welcome Danniel, the black does look good! Re tow height....sounds like you may need to make some adjustments to your hitch? What are you towing with?

Cheers.

Welcome Danniel. Like Pace says, just tell us what your tow height issue is and I'm sure you will get plenty of solutions offered fairly quickly. Everyone here helps each other.

Tow height issue is the hitch. My tow vehicle is a 105 Landcruiser with 3" lift. Will try to get some interior picks.

That's easy Danniel just get get a adjustable tongue to suit the rear of your tow bar - problem solved! So this way you will be able to get your van to sit level with out adjusting the 4x4 height.

Hey Skippy. Tried that, it does sit level, but its an offroad van and an offroad truck, with on road clearance????? The tongue bottoms out in creeks etc.

Expanda. I live in Hill Top in the southern highlands NSW

Danniel, maybe the solution for you is to have the mounting plate for hitch welded on the top of A frame, that way you might be able to cut off the excess of the tongue you don't need?
