It's fine so long as you use your common sense and use the slow vehicle areas to let cars past.

You'll still be faster than the "Lycra louts" in their pretend pelatons pissing everyone off!

Hi all,

Sorry for the late update. Wednesday was Apollo Bay to Geelong. This section winds along the coast and I must admit "rubber necking" is difficult to avoid on this section of the road. Due to the steepness of the hills and closeness to the coast the turnout lanes and lookouts are not as big. For this reason you may find that you can not stop at all as you may not be able to park. For stopping most of the parking areas are on the ocean side, so travelling east - west would provide best parking. A couple of time we wanted to stop but the parking areas were full and we would not have fitted.

Again as said there is no difficulty, where possible use the slow vehicle areas and let cars pass. This section seemed to be remembered by the amount of the on coming cars that seem to be driving across the line. It would seem to me that the cars need to consider staying to their lane just as much as the caravans.

Anyway Geelong was all about the masters games and after 10 games Thur - Sat including 2 finals we ended up making the long trek home Saturday.

Unlike the Kelly Nissan the pathfinder slowed down for the roo and let it pass on by.

Cheers
Steve
