When I was a kid, I lived a short bike ride away from Jayco, which was just like any little factory in the area, we used to scrounge through their bins for offcuts of panelling for our cubby houses. It would have been around 77. They used to give us stickers as well. They always stayed in the area, just going to a bit bigger premises each time. They aren't really that far away from where they started.

I read recently there might be a competition to find no1 camper, Gerry has no2 but wants no1. That one in the video is probably no2.

Cheers Geoff

We renovated a 85 version...

two snapped cables, fridge that struggled in the heat, hours for setting up...etc etc

but, hell of a lot of fun :)

We sold our '84 a few weeks back and made a 75% profit after five years - can't believe what people will pay for them. Like you, I kind of miss it... but not really :D

My mum and Dad still have their 1980 finch even after 34 years 3 boys and countless miles still going strong. Could use a new tent section these day's. But as the old man say,s "It,'ll see me out !" Gotta love the lime green beautiful mate. Can only hope my Panda performs as well.
