This will be a short but detailed introduction, I hope to stick around for a while and would like to contribute where I can.
I have just retired at 60. My partner Eileen and I would like to do the big lap. We have a really, really good friend who would also like to come with us. We have been discussing this for about 2 years, we know we are getting ourselves into trouble, but what the heck. We have NOT purchased anything yet BUT have made some tentative decisions based on our position. Mainly three adult fat bastards.
We have tentatively chosen the Jaco Outback Expanda 20.64-1 OB. Tug will be Ford Ranger Wild Track
We are looking to start travelling early August 2017. I will have questions for you so stay awake.

Welcome to the forum.
Just do the math on the Ranger and the 20.64

This made me laugh out loud, if only you had worked in something about a golden rivet.. That would have made my day..
:fencing::dance::caked::behindsofa:

(I will check the Ranger, thanks for the heads up...)

I am sorry I did not stay long. Things got different very quickly. The friend who was coming with us had family problems and had to pull out.
One of our close friends made us an offer on a "New Age" that we could not refuse. So thanks for all your warm welcomes and we may see you on the road sometime.
Can I leave you with a parting gift you may not have.

Ship passing and all that, hey................................we have many members that don't have Expandas anymore so I'm sure if you like the camerarderie that you find on this site your more than welcome to stay, I have a Coromal now...

There's is a Facebook page Ship Side Grey Nomads which is a friendly page full of old sailors which is strictly for Salty Nomads and a taught ship is run to keep it inline you might like that as well.

One of our favorite members, @Smergen, owns a New Age, and quite frankly we've been looking for a good opportunity to dump him.

Jealousy is a curse...

But alas @martincbull, our ol' mate @Crusty181 is correct. All are more than welcome here. At the most recent National Meet, there was in fact only one Expanda! And along with the sites founder who brought his rival brand Viscount and the might Big Green Lizard (our Gecko) all were welcome.

This forum is outstanding for knowledge, links, trip reports and the right balance of banter and wit without any "turf wars".

Stay about, contribute and enjoy the place. You won't regret it.
