Thanks @Kenshi123 , I have been watching your trip blog, looks like an awesome trip! We are just starting to plan our 12 week trip for next July, up the centre, then across to Broome and down the west coast. We have been debating whether to book in advance at the more popular spots, or just wing it, what have been your experiences?
Cheers, Chris
Gday Chris. I haven't travelled the west coast, but you are planning on going during the busy season, so maybe book any major stays (ie longer stays) and then leave space in between so that you can be flexible.

All the best with the planning

Hey @ChrisU as @Kenshi123 mentioned above forget about the more popular places during school holidays like Coral Bay etc as these are already booked out usually over a year in advance, but if you can work your trip to be in some of the less crowded places during these times then you should be fine, well that's what we are doing for the big lap next year.

Hi @burnsie, we generally don't book ahead when we travel, as we like to wing it as much as possible, but looks like we will have to start booking the popular spots now.
Appreciate your input mate
