Our drifter shows the rear tank full even though it was empty :( any ideas ?
We can't get the van in till the 9 th dec for the first service too fix a few minor things and filling the rear tank was a problem and I believed the panel so we ended running out of water .

There is a calibration or setting operation I believe you can do yourself? Lookup the manual or in the sticky on the drifter install

Yes it was on .
Both tanks are now full , got water out of both breathers , read the manual but don't understand clearly
Is the third tank turned on at the drifter @mfexpanda

I also had a problem like this. I disconnected the batteries and reset the unit(drifter), i then turned on all of the tanks at the drifter and then the drifter worked fine after that. The default setting only will show two tanks so you will need to set it for three tanks. We had to download the instructions for the drifter unit as Jayco did not supply them.

Have you checked to see if number 2 tank is turn on at the drifter. Try a reset and then make sure number 2 tank in turned on. I found mine is like a computer and sometime the unit doesn't do what it should and after a restart it seems to sort all of the glitches out.

Thanks for the help @skippy .
While I was there I set the battery to the combined amph of the two batteries as it was set at 80 Amph is this right ?
I have a 105 and a 130 amp hour so I set it to 230 which I thought would be close is this right ?
I know the manual said to run the batteries down twice and it would learn but I thought I'd start there .

Yep that is correct. By running the batteries down it sets the "fuel gauge" for the battery level. Mind you with that amount of power it will take a few days! my 120ah took 3 days with the lights and TV on! and that was just one cycle!

I turned off number 2 then turned it on but I'm not sure how to reset the panel .
Once I have I'll turn it on then pull the drain plug on number 2 and I should watch the panel slowly show the tank empty .
Disconnect the batteries and give it say 1 or 2 minutes and then connect the batteries back up.

Sounds like someone has been reading the instruction manual.
Yes it takes a few run down of the batteries to work out the total time left. The problem I had also was doing the run down and the first few trips away it kept on resetting due to the glass fuse coming loose at the battery's. Make sure that glass fuse is in correctly also other wise the battery run down is a waste of time.

The batterie run down will not affect the tank level indicators either..I assume you are aware of that?

Yes I thought so . And I'll be disconnecting the batteries after work tomorrow and hopefully the number 2 tank level works .

Ahh damn glass fuses. The japs still use them on UHFs. Is there any advantage to them? Was going to tidy my drifter battery wiring up and use a blade fuse.

Also surly the drifter must be able to work out the draw approx without having to cycle a battery? I am not too fussed on it be perfect to the minute as with two 100ah batteries it seems it would take ages to cycle the way we use 12v
