Yeah that's a good question. I'm going to wait until it arrives and decide where I put it and then that will decide where the tank will go. Thought about just putting a small 5 ltr tanks inside near the unit itself but that would not be ideal to fill up, and is a bit of a lazy option but is out of sight and easy. Will probably find a small tank and get a mount to sit it on either the rear bar or on draw bar up front.
The tanks online are cheaper then over here if I want one of the slimline ones but that would of out me over the $1000 so I might order one seperatly.
I'm thinking I have two options to mount the unit. One option would be under the dinette lounge with the vent angled back out towards kitchen area. Pros for this location is easy to run power back to my fused bank in opposite lounge and controller would be easy to run up to edge of front bed so it can be operated from bed. Cons are not ideal airflow through van from here unless I run the duct back into front tunnel across and out directly pointing down towards the other end. This is probably the way I'll go. Fuel tank would probably sit on front draw bar from this location.
Second option is under bunk at rear, vent pointing straight up the van towards front bed. Will lose storage if put on off side but might be an option on other side as there is no hatch to access this so we don't use it. Would have to run wires back and not sure how easy it is to get them around back of cupboard and fridge or run them under van in conduit. This location I would run the fuel tank off the rear bar. A bonus would be if there is a ticking noise from fuel pump it would be furthest away from our bed.
These ideas and more are buzzing around in my head while I wait for it to arrive at the door step and then bring on the winter trips ! :encouragement:
