Hello Everyone,

Thought start a new thread now the caravan is actually here :)
http://www.expandasdownunder.com/threads/starcraft-17-58-1-ob-due-29-may.4450/page-4#post-77577

This is our first caravan and after a long wait from end of Jan she arrived yesterday.
On pickup we noticed they put a touring Starcraft sticker on the front and one of the side stickers already peeling and split. They fix on first service no problem with that, found it funny they put the wrong sticker on and Sarah nearly parked in front of the wrong van because she was looking for outback :)
The dinette did not go down without rocking so they cut us another piece of wood to fit so that's all good.

We eventually got it in as it got dark last night after around 45-50 mins going back and forwards.

Some pictures from a few minutes ago externally. Will take some internal shots once I packed everything away

Dave the dealer mentioned a 200mm drop flap to the table? Do you have that, I have seen it or see why it's necessary.

I notice the storage doors are black, I read somewhere on here that they used to painted black and they stopped doing it because the paint was chipping off. Can you tell if they are painted or moulded. I think the black looks good, but keep an eye out for white chips showing through.
Also I understand there should have been Jerry holder standard on outback? Did they mention it? Wonder if it gets deleted because of the 2nd gas bottle. Also whats the purpose of the gas bottle covers?
Sorry too many questions... looking forward to the inside shots. Are the kids camping out tonight?

The 2014 models I have seen are black moulded plastic, so all good.

@halbster Yes Jerry Can missing. fixed again first service. Still need to unpack the weber to see where it fits. I was thinking front box for it. So if want front box probably no need for Jerry Can. Although it should of been there.

Covers to protect the Gas bottles we brought them when I was wondering if I get a stone guard. We saw a stone guard at pickup and Sarah said just get it now.

@achjimmy what do you mean "200mm drop flap to the table?'

Perfer the white myself but in the coast to coast catalog black hatches are listed so they would be molded

Here is where the dinette is coming away from the wall? What do people recommend to fix.
You think they use those wall mount ones instead of just screwing it in :(
Rather fix it then wait to first service..

Have you turned the booster on? The button near the bed bunker 12v outlet?

Hmmm, yep check the boosters on as mentioned, check all connections,
Your vans up against the side of your brick house, maybe blocking signal, where does your house aerial point, may have to pull van forward to clear wall, as I do with my shed.
Just a thought.

I don't watch tv when away generally always DVDs I wouldn't bother with an aerial again except they tell me the snow flakes are better again? It is convenient being able to just wind them up?

Yes kids abc for kids.
I can move aerial lead around not connected to tv point and get a picture on all channels. If I connect it up then in the worst place so get no signal, if I use myself and hold end unplugged I can get back picture with lead in same place just unplugged with me holding it. So I do not think it's connected
