When cleaning out the van yesterday I remembered Mrs D always complaining that she's lost her phone overnight under the mattress or pillow... Picked up a couple of mesh magazine holders and fitted one on her side of the bed.

Fitted the other behind the dinette seat up the front end!

While the van was out from under it's cover it was time to get the outdoor entertainment setup started....

Need to wait until next week to get them wired up and install the small TV bracket outside for the 19" TV to go on...... And fit an aerial plug for it!

Well between the grandson's auskick, our glorious/un-predictive weather, mother's day celebrations and our daughter's birthday over the weekend I didn't get around to wiring up the speakers but did manage to get 30 minutes spare to mount Stage 2 of the outdoor entertainment system!!!!

Picked up an 18.5" 240/12V TV/DVD Combo at a price I couldn't refuse ;) (Was given $150 gift card for BigW and got a $1 in change :p )

All you'll see when the TV is removed!
Now I'll be able to watch the Footy when cooking dinner :D

Just need to pick up a couple of aerial points to install for the standard aerial and satdish and wire them up when I do the speakers next weekend (Unless something else keeps me occupied!)

I run the Winegard and SatKing into a switch box, the signal out of the switch goes to the outside TV point; i can switch outside TV btw terrestrial and satellite depending where we're getting our signal from.

Ill get you the switch specs if your interested.

Does that mean your TV feed from the switch box is HDMI or just the normal cable.????

Normal cable @Drover ... But now you have me thinking as my supplier can't get the splitter and the salesman at the shop I got the satdish from had no friggin' idea what I was talking about!!!!!

Just going to bite the bullet and install 2 separate plugs but now you have me thinking of the HDMI option... Just need to see if the HDMI adaptor fits in the housing I have ;)

Wasn't going to do any mods until after the shakedown trip next weekend but got a bit bored today so made a start with some ideas "borrowed" from others on here ;)

Aluminium angle and tie down straps behind rear bed hard lid..

View attachment 21038

Table, steps and floor mats stored... No more need to transport inside the van :)

Made sure at least one of the screws went through aluminium for that extra bit of strength!

View attachment 21042

Tea towel racks fitted..... Used a couple of left over drawer handles that I had sitting in the shed.

View attachment 21043

Wardrobe shelves fitted.... Don't need the hanging space for shorts, t-shirts and singlets ;)

Getting the Australiawide Annex fitted this week (Got it ordered just in time before the Caravan & Camping Show)

No doubt there will be more mods thought of once we get away and use the van.

Have a few future mods planned but will be done over a period of a couple/few months due to work and planned landscaping and paving of the front yard.
1) Ali box on drawer bar for weber Q, gas bottles and anything else we can fit in it.
2) Relocate the spare to the rear bumper.
3) Space allowing.... Wire mesh on existing spare wheel holder (Under the planned ali box if enough room) to strap hoses etc.
4) Use the van in between work, landscaping, mods and brick paving :thumb:

Hopefully the weekend after the shakedown trip is raining :rain:.... Good excuse to put a hold on brick paving and get the new suspension fitted on the Prado!

Hi there question what is the ally angle used for on the bed ends?

cheers
