@cruza driver Mate, l'm on to you here, i have done the same inspections in the past re the screws into awning roller and have found them loose, same have tightened and glued over. As for the roof, seeing as ours is a replacement from previous hail damage, the new curved type seem to be well sika'd, fingers crossed for now. Yes, too i think good idea doing the strip above the section near the canvas.
Re: the shower door, I am in the fear of the shower door doing the same for ours some day, though will review in the coming trips this year.

Pace.

Thanks @Pace what I think the shower door needs is three rivets per side of the hinge as there is only 2. Ours has done over 30k so I reckon its lasted pretty well really. :tea: ;)

I did seriously consider it but my thinking is it lasted this long with 2 it should be ok once again and the new rivets
are slightly better qualilty with a bigger head.

I also didnt want to put anymore extra holes in the thin aluminum shower door frame unless really necessary :thumb:

Hey Cruza great posts, I have had the same problems with the screws in my awning drum and think I will have to grind down an allen key too to fix it once and for all!

cheers Ashie

CD, I have been reading your thread since last night and I have really enjoyed sharing your many adventures with you. The photos are awesome too! Such a beautiful part of the country you live in with many travel options. We live in Nth Qld and take delivery in May so it has been nice reading about the joy that others are getting out of their Expandas, confirms that we are doing the right thing purchasing a Jayco Panda!

The square head fitting for those screws is about $2 at mitre 10, so probably even cheaper at Bunnings.

Good advice mate it was fun using the bench grinder though or was it finally getting around to fixing it :)

Hey mate thanks for posting I'll check the awning drum as well. I did my anode just before Xmas. In a hurry guess what I didn't do? Anyway the corrosion comes out really quick and the old anode would make 30 metres I reckon if it hadn't hit the fence :tongue-11:

Re the sikaflex, first time I did the roof Jayco gave me some V60 think its a bostik brand, it's still going well. But when i redid the show I used sikaflex. Unfortnatlely the sika has yellowed considerably with UV I presume?

Ok here is a couple of pics from the weekend. We went to Midland CP near Lake Nillahcootie Lima Vic.
There is a motorbike track onsite for all ages which is a real bonus and the reason we go there.

Its a very basic park but has an inground pool and is also licenced and the owners are very accommodating.

Another job completed today. It took a whole 2.89 minutes to complete and that included a couple of standard issue pics :D

I noticed the door clips that lock the external solid door to the security door where broken and one missing all together. The centre one was doing most of the work along with the half broken top one.

After a quick phone call to the local Jayco dealer to see if they had them in stock I headed down there to pick them up.
A broken one

Nice one Macgyver!

Though, the old Cruza would have whittled some new door clips out of a tree you chopped down with a spoon and a chip packet. You must be getting old mate using standard issues ones ;)

Haha, actually funny you say that as thats exactly what I was going to do.

I encounted 2 problems though one I wasnt happy with the grain of wood available.
Plus after the rain we had this week, I wouldnt have been happy with the finished product as the wood was all damp.

Maybe next time :bolt:

Had the same problem - top one broken. The local chap didn't realise that the top and bottom catches are different to the middle one - guess which one he sold me!
