Cruising With Your Expanda

So......Who uses cruise control when towing?

There must be lots of advantages and disadvantages to this question, thought this would be a good forum to discuss and see what everyone's thoughts are?

Use it where I can on the Hwy.. Just keep the Colorado in manual mode and change up and down between 4th and 5th..

No, after a bit of experimenting I found the Ranger uses more fuel when towing on Cruise

12 hours today cruise control probably less then a hour

I never have it on always like to be in total control I don't use it much even when not towing

Tried it once and all that happened was it jumped up and down gears even on flat roads

I ise it all the time. Even around town. Use it for towing but go to manual gears for down hills etc

You have to use it in the Jeep to stop yourself from speeding

But all jokes aside I use it whenever possible, I use it on my Harley as well, love it

You'd need to coz with all the vibrating and rattling you wouldn't be able to hold a constant speed :drum:

dont have it fitted on mine - so no I dont used it

on SWMBO's car, I only use it when driving - period....... V8 - I would loose my license if I didnt
and we dont use her car to tow - mute point............

I don't use cruise whilst towing , I think it makes me concentrate more if I don't.

Use it everywhere when not towing, even around town, 50km/h zones etc.

When towing I've found I prefer, like @17triton I don't because it keeps me more aware of my surroundings. Having said that, there's plenty of flat spaces on this great land where I would probably use it, just haven't take the van there.... yet.
