Location: Windorah Qld on the Cooper Creek. Site 388 in Camps 6.
Info: Number of free camping areas on river both sides of road and both sides of river. South/eastern side more open. No facilities, self contained so all the usual things about rubbish etc. most run grey water around tree's .

Comments: We have overnighted here a couple of times now, 2018 and 2022. About 10km outside of Windorah as you come in from Quilpie. You could jag a spot right against the river if you are lucky but it is a few metres down the embankment. Great for a late arrival/early get away. Be aware of flies and mozzies. Can have an open fire.
