Any details on this guy?

Steve SR Caravan Solutions 0407 480 591.

I didn't actually see him do the job but when I got home there was grease on the nipples and fresh sikaflex on the rear tail light housing. So I guess he did a good job?

Well today we did the Jayco tour, very interesting, surprised how up close and personal we could get to the whole manufacturing process. OMG do they make a lot of vans there.
They actually service vans there too so I booked ours in, earlier than Page Bros, same price and only "need" the van for a couple of days. They should have all the parts to do the service too. (Well I hope they do). HA HA.

I had my first one done at Jayco factory - FOUR weeks before I got it back....

I now use Dart Mobile Service
http://www.mobilecaravanservices.com.au/index.html

Cost $310 for the last one in December,, but they come to you - as long as you have room for them to safely work. My street was too busy being next to a primary school at 8.45am, so I just took it to the footy ground round the corner. Couple hours all done. (They said next time, just leave it in the storage yard and they'll go there instead) (I'm in Parkdale @Greeeny so no issue on location)

I've used Darts too at my place.
It's probably due again for another service so I think I'll use them again. I had no issues last time.
They have free reign of my garage to work in undercover, so all's good there.

I'm taking ours to Advantage Caravan Repairs this time.

First time I've been there. Third service, so should be hubs etc plus HWS anode. Last one was replaced after 15 months and not much left of it then.

Best to replace anode every 12 mths regardless, as it's working even when the van isn't

Yep Steve does good work, isn't much he can't do, including annex installs (Kakadu Agent) and Jayco accredited. (us to work for them)

Just picked up our van today after getting a new shower setup (had gone yellow). Thank you Jayco as the van is over 3 years old. I also had East Coast RV's do a service on it while they had it. $180 for service. Very happy with the report of bearings and brakes etc and I had the ball weight checked.

It was previously weighed at 214Kg which put the wind up me. I shifted the spare from the front to a new bar at the rear and the ball weight dropped to 173Kg. Much happier with that.

Gday Chartrock - did you have to pay for the installation of the replacement Shower Setup? I am waiting to see if Jayco is going to replace our wash hand basin as it has gone yellow. The van is 2010 model...

No mate, East Coast RV took photos and sent them to Jayco who OK'ed the replacement so it did not cost a thing. Again, Jayco have impressed me with their warranty service and I can't thank ECRV enough for their service and help. :clap2:

This is a major problem with all dealers repairs agents I know I book out to a month plus at times
Generally a first service salesman say not to worry about as it's charged and check over etc where the second they say to do with the anode

Well just picked up the van today from PDA caravan repairs had the bathroom wall replaced under warranty so I thought I'd get it serviced while there so for their total of $506 the van was serviced plus replaced the anode ,replaced the melted overflow pipe in the hws, replaced the jockey wheel bearing and repaired a loose wire to one of the brakes . The wall looks great even better finished than new (silicone very neat) but at $506 for the service (standard service $314) I think I'll be doing my own from here on in

The salesman that did our handover actually recommended to have the 12 month service done slightly early by one of the agents and get them to do an end of warranty inspection..... He said they will do a good inspection because if anything, even minor, is found they get paid by Jayco HQ to fix it!

Will be the only time I'll be paying for a service!

If it was under warranty what did the fix that they couldn't cover

The delays seem to be a consistent problem as with Jayco Canberra its about 6 weeks before it can be done. The bonus is as long as the job is smallish its back within 24 to 48 hours.
