Hey Drover, did you ever eat at the Airmens Mess on the base? I designed and documented it as a very young architect, seconded to the Dept of Works. The fit-out of the kitchen and the equipment was amazing, it could cook for 750 persons at one time! It also had the largest dry store and butchers store i have ever seen.One of many, though 34 SQN still operate out of there, Fairbain was a great posting.......
