We cook 99% of meals in the weber outside but in saying that we do steam veges on the stove or heat or thaw stuff in the microwave. If I can provide one tip it would be don't cook Bacon and eggs in the frypan on the stove in the van on the morning you are going home it took two weeks to get the stench of Bacon out of the Van:doh:....... and I love Bacon nearly as much as I love Beer !:preggers:

Hi Carpanda, I'm guilty of cooking in the van!! Good idea, go to the opshop and buy kitchen utensils etc, egg flip, wooden spoon, etc etc. I use an electric frypan outside for my BBQ when we have power, or we take our gas BBQ when non power camping. Camp ovens live in the van and yes I use them on the stove top as well. I also bought a cast iron frypan from Rays outdoors for $10, it has a wooden handle and I use this inside and outside on the camp fire, just wrap Alfoil around the handle when using on an open fire. Liked it so much I have one for home. Once fully seasoned, they don't stick, so no Teflon for us. We leave everything in the van, sheets, dounas, pillows, cooking products, non perishable food. Even toiletries as I know my boys will forget to pack a toothbrush, shampoo and soap. When we get home I wash the towels, tea towels, sheets etc and put straight back in the van. Same with filling up coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, tomato sauce etc. When we go away, we just out in clothes and fresh food. Hope this helps.
