Reverse camera & additional car display, Trish will do a fare bit of towing so nice to see what is going on. New fusion unit for the van, it was going to wait but the saving was worth it. Particularly as i will have the van stripped for other stuff, so best time to stick the camera and stereo in.

Well we went in today. It was busy, but moved around ok. I did well in controlling myself, with our van due Friday i only spent $1000. However i think i now have absolutely everything we want to start with, figured it was easier to install everything at once while everything is stripped.
Hate to see what would have happened if you'd just thrown caution to the wind, Tim! ;)
Did you give Trish and the kids the slip? Or just leave them at home?

You haven't taken delivery of your van yet - but you must already have that silly Expanda grin that's a sure signal to any salesman at the show. And now you're justifying it all on the basis of easier installation. Would have thought you'd learned something from reading of all the sad people on this forum.
I'm thinking of starting an EA thread ("Expanda's Anonymous") to offer counseling.:pride:

We will probably be going on Saturday or Sunday to drool over the StarCraft we want and check out a few accessories for the expanda and the tug. We go every year. It is getting expensive now though, and the courier mail aren't doing the half price tickets for subscribers anymore either.
DiDExceed What model StarCraft are you checking out?

We'll be heading in tomorrow.
Expecting the plastic to get a bit of a workout getting some of the things we will "need".

We ended up buying the tickets online as couldn't be bothered lining up when can just walk on in!

Off to the show today. I have an accessory list as long as my arm. After picking up the new panda last week, I dont think the minister for finance will let me take the credit card. Can anyone recommend annex manufacturer? Will be needing one first up.

Just my luck. Purchased my entry tickets online before going to the show and when I got there the prepaid line was about 50mt long and the normal line was walk straight up. Gee that extra $1 could of got spent on more van gear.
Great show Jayco now in the new building with a huge display and from what I saw they were busy signing up lots of new Expanda forum members.
And for adam79 I also have the Kakadu full annex and are very happy with it.

Thanks for suggestions for the annex. After our last van we didnt like the quality of the Kakadu annex also the lack of custom make.. We bought one today at the show- From and family run company -Not Just Canvas. Very friendly and helpful. We got a full canvas with custom colours, anti flap kit included with two curved roof rafters. Also has a pvc section as standard on the bottom of the walls to help protect against dirt and mud. Midgee proof fly screen windows and doors also as standard. All for $2300. Kakadu wanted $2900 + extra for sreen doors+ extra for custom colours.

16.51-3OB, Almost had the minister convinced too, but not this year I'm told lol. Afterlooking at other makes the jayco is the only one we like everything about (although the handbrake would like a washing machine which isn't available on the 16, not enough room). I don't want dual axle, and we want a full van with an ensuite so it is perfect although we would see it we can get a dinette instead of the L shaped lounge.

We had a good day at the show, bloody wet, which kept numbers down so found it easy to get around. Good to see the Jayco 2013 range and colours. Picked up a few things for the upcoming trip.
this little gadget seems good, time will tell. It's called just-Stickit and has a range of hooks and the likes. Grabbed two hooks for towels and put them up either side of the toilet. Doesn't use any adhesive.
Also picked up a few $2 ponchos to chuck in the cupboard for those rainy days. Grabbed a smaller fibreglass esky for the back of the Prado, and a toaster and kettle for the gas burner. We plan to do a bit of walking this trip so grabbed the boys a Camelbak style backpack each, they were stoked. Also grabbed an personal locating beacon (EPIRB).

In the Prado centre console, so its easy to get to. It's small, so if we start doing long walks its also an option to take with us, will easily fit into a backpack. Comes with a first aid kit also. I like my gadgets brad :)

also seemed a small price to pay for a bit of safety for the family. Looked at a Spot 2 but you have to pay $100US per year for it to work. To expensive that one!

The main reason for the EPIRB, I just have this feeling I am going to come across some poor bloody Ford driver broken down in the middle of nowhere on his last legs.......:) It would be unAustralian to let some poor bugger die of thirst because he has poor taste in cars......;)
