Well it's on again starting next Wednesday through to the following Tuesday. Postings through some of the threads indicate many members will be attending the Brisbane Caravan Show looking for bargains.

We will be there Thursday (without credit card :D) with a couple of other friends but may still be able to meet up with any other members who may be there that day. :boink:

It's a pity it's so damn expensive these days, used to be free with just parking to pay for.

Thought about going, just to see if the northern state do it any better, just don't have the airfare at the moment and a bit far to drive for a few days

You're right, it does get up the nose having to pay to look at what are basically adverts for products. The only advantage is they are all there together for comparisons.

We will probably be going on Saturday or Sunday to drool over the StarCraft we want and check out a few accessories for the expanda and the tug. We go every year. It is getting expensive now though, and the courier mail aren't doing the half price tickets for subscribers anymore either.

We will be heading in on Sunday.
one thing though, went to purchase the tickets online last night and noticed they wanted an extra $1 per ticket for the privilege of saving them a person and printing of the ticket! I'll just get ours at the gate!

Yer that's pretty cheeky, you would think they would offer a discount online.

It depends on what time you get there. I went at opening time on thursday and glad i spent $1.00 more in the pre-purchase. This is because the line to buy tickets was over 100m long and moving very slowly. The line to get in the gate with pre-purchased tickets, 0.5m long. Definitely buy them before you go if you plan on arriving at opening time

Nothing too exiting, just a new level. Its big enough to see out the back window of the car to know when to stop. Its far more reliable then listing to the wife trying and read a level :director:

Apart from that, there was nothing that had me diving into my pocket to get in a hurry. There was a neat little fry pan thing a guy was selling outside the courier mail building that was pretty cool, but its just something else to find a spot for in the van.

We went on Thursday as well but opted to stay on the train to Fortitude Valley and walk down to the rear entrance. The distance from the station to the rear of the Ekka was about the same as it was to walk back to the Ekka station on the way home. There was nobody at all waiting to get in so straight in. ;)

All I bought was a goose neck LED lamp to replace one I installed some time ago and since died. Another install job this weekend.

Well we went in today. It was busy, but moved around ok. I did well in controlling myself, with our van due Friday i only spent $1000. However i think i now have absolutely everything we want to start with, figured it was easier to install everything at once while everything is stripped.
