Hi Buckleys, there are many threads on this topic & to be honest I still haven't solved the problem after 2 years.....so many choices. I have the "Trail max" on the back bumper of my EXPANDA 17.56.1 but not happy with it. Nearly lost my bike rack as the nut came loose.....cant see the damn things on the back & am constantly worried about weight & sway.........so I am now looking at draw bar options or tow bar options or car roof options...... Either way, it's going to cost me. Either 'google' "expanda caravan bike racks" or search 'bike racks' in the forum search engine. I'm looking at these, either Thule or Fiamma A-Frame racks? Dunno... if you find a TRIED & TESTED solution for the EXPANDA that is not custom built by a forum member (I'm not handy) then let me know also!!

Matty4 has one on the tow ball from Berns Beaks Aussie Trailers in Bayswater, I'm considering these, takes up to 4 bikes:

The rear bar was made by a member on here who doesn't seem to be active anymore.
A few others have made similar bars with great results too.
Much easier access to the wheel if needed too.

Hey @JASA and @Matty4 .... do you have a photo of your hitch/bike rack set up without the bikes on it? Or the brand?I'm interested to know if I can get a similar set up on the back of the Pajenero...

@Smergen Mine is made by Berns Beaks in Bayswater (say that 3 times quickly....lol)
I'll post up a photo over the weekend with it fitted without bikes, so you can see for yourself.
It can be a PITA to hitch up the chains and WDH with all the bikes on as I need to reach under them, plus you'll have your spare tyre to contend with on the back too..

Went to Berns Beaks in Bayswater. Same 4 bike rack as Matty4 & JASA. He quoted $700 - $750!! His website says $330? Others have bought same rack from $350 - $500? What's the go with this bloke? They look great but .......$$

I honestly don't remember how much mine was, I bought it maybe 6 years ago now.
I know it wasn't a standard price though as I has the carry bars extended to allow for 5 bikes to fit on it, plus I had the base plate modified to allow it to interlock with the WDH. A figure of $600 kind of rings a bell though, but not sure.
Like this.

@Matty4 really appreciate you taking the time to put the pictures up mate. Didn't realise that they were that pricey!

I imagine it will get quite crowded at the back of the car if we get one, not to mention having to keep check of the tow ball weight which I imagine it affects. The back tyre also will be a PITA...

Still trying to work out if I'll just mount them off the back of the van on the new heavy duty bumper...

Yeah Thanks Matty4.... You've spent a bit of time helping us with our bike rack dilemma. Much appreciated.
