Hi all,

Have been trying to search but have not really found any info on what I am after.
We have the 14.44-4 which has the solid back on it. As such, I am looking at getting the fiamma bike rack installed when we put the van in for a warranty fix up.

Reason being is that was looking at carrying the kids bikes here and then getting a frame made up for our gooseneck bike carrier to put onto the a-frame for our bikes. Yes I realise the extra weight but we have the benefit of the extra payload due to second water tank so will not fill the second tank when the bikes are on.

I have seen the mods people have made to the bumper etc but as I can get this installed by the dealer thought this is the best and easiest way to go. Question is does anyone have one of these? Are they solid with the bikes on and are you happy with it?

I've got an 18.57-6 with the fiamma bike rack. Jayco would only put the 2x bike rack on but I have added another 2 so it now holds 4 bikes. I holiday with a mate of mine who has the same van and bike rack. When we follow each other from place to place the bikes are perfectly secure and don't move a mm.
Make sure you get the rack with the larger offset from the back wall otherwise you will need to loosen handlebars and turn them which is a pain.
From memory my bike rack is a 200C it's excellent

On the rack there are two clamping screws on the uprights which allow you to get more oddset away from the wall, only found this out the other day, photo's to come.

Thanks all. Might be back to the drawing board on this one as swmbo saw one of the these the other day and didn't like it! Said would never see it but no.... She wants to see if I can put a gooseneck type on the back somewhere that can be removed (so with the towbar tongue).
Not keen on putting onto a-frame as am planning to put a box on there and move the spare to underneath the back so can't really accommodate the towbar type...

Might be a case of too hard to please! Kids might just have to walk!

BJ.
