Clothesline done. I dont have a swage and didnt particularly want to buy one for 2 sleeve crimps and I think a soldering the rope in the sleeve would be neater anyways.
That was before I had everything measured, cut, bolted and mounted and only then discovered I was out of solder. Damn it, so I brazed it with a bronze filler. Its a tad ratty, but its rustic good looks its solid enough. and adds to its charm. It was still only $18

I cut 25mm off the end of PVC sewer pipe and softened it with a heat stripper, moulding it for a travel support for the wire rope clotheline. Mounts to the central awning support with a cable tie. Flicks in and out with the awning hook
