Hi All,

I am a newbie here. Love the site. I have been reading in for many years in envy of all the expanda owners.

Over the past 10 years we have had three Jayco Camper Trailers
- 1996 Halk
- 2005 Eagle
- 2010 Dove

We having been looking at getting an expanda for way-to-long. During the February 2014 Adelaide caravan and camping show we went down with the intention of buying a 17ft expanda. After spending half a day going in-out-in-out of the 17footer, a great salesman (Gordon) kindly showed us the 20ft. The misses kids and myself fall in love immediately, signed the paper work, and we are now waiting for the phone call to say she is ready to rumble.

We have on order a 2014 20.63-1 outback with all the usual mods and cons plus;
- Slide out lounge,
- 240watt solar,
- 186L fridge,
- Triple bunks,
- Stereo,
- TV,
- Extended A-frame,
- Washing machine,
- Bed converter,
- Oven,
- Outside Fold down table

I am trying to occupy my time while I wait (finding it very difficult) so I have been looking at all the mods people have done, some are just darn awesome. Top of my list for mods so far are;
- Extra battery bank maybe 3 x 120amp agm's, and use the existing 100amp for my ARB fridge
- Ctek D250s and SmartPass to charge while we travel,
- Hardwired Inverter, thinking of maybe a Victron EasyPass/MultiPass or Projecta IP2000
- Battery Monitor
- Fiamma 4x Bike carrier
- Toolbox for A-frame
- Reversing camera/s

I'll keep you all posting

Happy expandering,

Cheers

Thanks all,
The waiting pains begun once we left the camping show in feb. :(.

Ren77, our paper work says delivery is expected on the 15th of May. I am crossing my fingers, toes, arms and legs. How long till you expect delivery?
Every day i have to stop my self from calling to get a status update. So excited, I feel like a little kid again.

To get me daily fix, I have a bunch of photos (i took while at the camping show) I browse through just about every day, plus all the pics on the forum.

Ours came off production on Easter Thursday but with all of the public holidays, I haven't even been able to find out if it has left Melbourne yet...grrrr! So frustrating! But hopefully we should know more tomorrow and then will have a better idea about delivery. Stay tuned.......

Hi All4boefockers

Sounds like mighty Expanda to be sure.

We also have a 2014 20.63-1 OB on order, though its a long way off compared to yours.

You have me worried though. I had believed that the slide out Lounge was a standard option on our model?

We have on order a 2014 20.63-1 outback with all the usual mods and cons plus;
- Slide out lounge,

Did I miss something, in the salesman's spiel? Gaw'd I hope not.

I see you have also requested an extended A frame. Its been a long while since I pulled a Van, I know that the longer the A frame the easier it is to reverse, but is there other reasons you choose this? Curious, as hadn't given it a thought.

May is but 3 days away, not long to wait now, for you!!

Regards

Hi @HiTech⚓️Mariner i thought the slideout was part of the show special, didn't know they include it as standard know. One thing I do love is how Jayco include the independent suspension as standard in the outback's now :).

Similar to @navmatt we went for the extended drawbar so we can fit a toolbox and are are planning to fit a stone guard as well.

Also when we travel around with our Navara, we need a fair bit more clearance to the rear so our tailgate can stay down so we can lug our quad around (i will upload a pic). Also based on my measurements, i should be able to jacknife the Car and Van to unload our quad with-out having to un-hitch.

Our 4x4 Quad, fit to carry 2 adults, or 1 adult and 2 kiddlets . Performs an absolute treat. Lets us access the hard to get spots, scope setup spots, and great for lugging fishing rods along the beach. Doesn't quite fit in the navara, but have made up a special gizmo to get over the wheel arches and take all the weight of the tailgate. :)

It's a great quad @HiTech⚓️Mariner , we ordered it online from a mob call crossfire, ended up getting free freight to our door. It took a while to convince the minister of war and finance, funny now though, she loves it and has ranked up more ride time than me.

Finally made the call today to Jayco to get a status update on when our expanda will arrive. Jayco man made my day, said it has just arrive this avo on the truck to there depot in Adelaide. The only bugger is I cannot get down to pick it up for another two weeks due to work. Grrrrr.

I don't know what is worse, not knowing when it will arrive, or knowing that it has arrived and I cannot pickit up. It's gonna be a long 2 weeks at work.
