Finally got around to fitting the Superior Suspension after market control arms and the diff drop today. I've had them sitting on the bench for over a month. Noticed that the front tyres were feathering badly after the lift and need to sort it before the new mags and tyres arrive in a few weeks.

@Adam79 so why the scotts exhaust as opposed to bde or roo? What u think of it, does it drone in the car?

This is most likely one of the next mods for mine. U going to chip it as well in the future? So many combo's around, but I do not want a drone when towing the van for a day solid driving.

So not sure which one to go with?

@TTBRIDGE. I went with scotts rods as I have had their systems before. One on my patrol ute and the prado. Plus the price was came into factor, i cant see paying extra $$$ for the exact same thing from other companies brand name. I still have a muffler with cats. Paid $1350 for a mandrel bent 2/3/4 back to 3inch fitted as I am a return customer. We do get the big V8 sound now with very little drone when towing the van. But I don't really notice. Very happy with the way it sounds. Everyone will tell you that their systems are the best, but I just went back to what I know is a quality product.

Hi Adam
Congrats on the new 200, I'm in the market for one as well, and would be interested to hear your thoughts on it regarding differences to the Prado, such as towing power, fuel economy etc
Cheers
We missed the Prado for ..... the first day!
Such a different car in everyway. Bigger. Power to burn. Heaps more leg room for the kids. We used to get an average of about 9Lper 100 on road, towing about 13/15Lper100 in the prado. Before mods started on the cruiser we averaged about 10/11Lper 100 road. Towing aboit 16/18Lper 100. After Lift, bullbar and bigger tyres its up around 12/13Lper 100. I feel alot more stable now when towing the van as it has builtin sway control. Stops better in traffic. Just too many things that I like about it to list.. We are very happy with the cruiser the only thing is that they are a expensive vehicle to buy, but thats toyota for you.

@Adam79 thanks mate, every car and boat i own is a V8, so can totally relate to the love of a V8 note (and the oil company love me) The cruiser does sound nice with a new pipe on it, I agree with your comment over the price for brand name. If you have had them in the past, why change. I asked as i prefer personal experience over the "brand Hype"

Yeah mate @Hubble80. It's a 2 3/4 to single 3". We don't have the KDSS model. The exhaust seems to be louder now it's been on a few months from when it was fitted, has a real rumble to it now. Find myself putting the foot down more just to hear that noise. Love it. Lol.

@Adam79,

Love your mods to the LC200. Rear bar & wheel holder - very nice!

I have had ours recently tricked up with colour matched TJM bar, winch, snorkel, X-Rays driving lights, PolyAirs, full bash plates and a Lovels lift & GVM upgrade 3,800KG.

Interested that you put new control arms on due to tyre wear. How much did you lift the 200? Should a new control arm be fitted after any lift kit/s are installed?

Dealer here is seeing a number of 200s come in with burnt out valves due to 3" exhausts being fitted. Have you or others on the forum seen or heard of this?

Cheers,

Ro

@ROnEM. The upper control arms didn't lift the vehicle any. It just allowed for more adjustment in the camber and caster. Gets it back to near factory settings after a lift has been fitted. Same as the diff drop kit, gets everything back to standard, which puts less stress on the driveline. As the exhaust never heard anything about burnt valves after Fitting one.
