Australia Zoo.
A must do if you've got kids, a must do if you don't. We live close to enough to Taronga Western Plains, Dubbo, we've been to Taronga Zoo Sydney, Melbourne Zoo, Canberra Zoo, Mogo Zoo and I've spent enough time with the in laws.. hehehe. but they are all different and this is one of the most hands on places for kids (and adults) to enjoy.

The kids were trying to close it's jaws, I was trying to choke it!
All in all, the legacy that Steve Irwin left for the family to carry on is amazing. There is a huge amount of passion from all the staff at this zoo, the great man is talked about as though he left us only yesterday. Here's hoping it continues for generations to enjoy.

You are spot on there Matt. Australia Zoo has to be a must visit place on the card.... The staff demonstrates a great passion and care for the park. We took our kids about two years ago and they had a great time. It is arguably the best zoo we have in Australia.
I was there a few years back and i dont recall it being expensive ... but I do recall i was a little skeptical that the fees to buy a paper cup with one motley half thawed fish finger was for a World Class Dolphin Research Facility housed in the adjoining coffee shop, and the Dolphin Rangler im sure sold me a coffee and some raisin toast 20mins before the feeding.
