Well done!

I hope it all sorts itself out.

That area has certainly changed since we were there last....and Freo seems to be a place of contrasts now. It could be my dodgy memory but I didn't notice the scroungers before, amid the great areas on the waterfront. And the waterfront was a fantastic area.

I didn't notice a Panda when we went through. It must be tucked away carefully.

Takes pride of place in the front yard.

I think you will be fine @Smirke, they will do the tunnel option. Well that's what Nader wants to do, but they have to nail down the airport tunnel contract before they will announce the port option.
That's whey Barney will only contract the stage one of Roe 8 at this stage.

Unfortunately @Jimbo , the tunnel is only a smoke screen, it can't be done.
(Need that powerball so it won't matter. ). At least we have the panda wagon to live in!

We're hoping to get to Coffin Bay Area / Port Lincoln for a few weeks but not sure when.

We're reluctant to join the crowds in June July and not sure about the possible weather. Do any of you crow eaters know about possible rain and / or cold weather around that time?

We don't have a diesel heater, unlike some others, and don't want to freeze but can enjoy a bit of coldish weather but want to avoid cold and wet. I know there's a reason southerners go north in winter but unsure how much cold and wet we can expect at that time.

Having just endured Darwin's oppressive heat last week a bit of mild cold weather might just be attractive.

For the fist couple of weeks of Jan I have booked in a trip to Esperance via Hyden and coming back via Denmark to see the folks.
The in the April school holidays we are of to Ningaloo Station for a week and might do Kalbarri on the way home.

First trip will be easy as we are staying in Caravan parks but the second trip is pure free camping with no shops for miles.
I better catch some fish :fish2: or we will stave.
Oops try again.
Bathurst at Easter then 10 weeks from July up the middle over to Broome.

Closer to what?

Geographically?

Time?

Or is it that you are packing up now and getting ready to go?

Seeing our London trip is now a no go. 50-50 chance my good ear could pop while flying Rather not take the chance so now thinking we might head to the rock before the group meet need to work out what and where still. So reading up all the trip reports although probably stay bitumen most of the way. Not sure we take the disco to far off-road in case she breaks

We plan to make a big trip of the Flinders meet, after all, it is a long way from the Gold Coast. The plan so far is to head south and then follow the Murray to the border, with side visits where we feel the need, visit Mt Gambier, Adelaide and then cruise up to Wilpena and then a run north through Alice and maybe Ayers Rock or the east McDonnell ranges before heading home. Details are up in the air but we will take around 3 months to do the trip. Would welcome company on any part of the trip.
