@Petecaz looks like I replied to the wrong person, anyway here are the instructions they might give you a better idea.

Thanks DRW I have seen them but didnt know what they were called Now I do :)
Think I will go that way as well.

After only 200km of dirt the extra height on the new vans with the new suspension let a lot of rocks through and already started chewing out the ply behind the van wheels so it may pay to get some bigger mudguards for the van as well. As my dain pipes were covered in mud so rocks will be hitting them as well.

@Stephen Galvin , have a look at my Cape York trip and @Holden_man's Central Australia trip reports, for some ideas on how we prepared our vans for some pretty rugged dirt travel.

Hi Mate have you got another link to that trip and info maybe i'm doing something wrong but I cant find it. I want to tow mine up to Mitchell plateau and further hopefully next year. Ive been there a few times but only further north once corrugations can be hell!! ordering Rockstomper tomorrow. I also have a dream Of flying my crazy flying machine around the Bungles not sure I would get the van in but the track is a lot better than it used to be and I towed ny 2 ton camper in there no worries last time. Would have to be one of the most amazing places in Oz I reckon!

Thanks @crackacoldie for the wrap.....:)
Hi @Stephen Galvin spent a fair bit of time covering wiring and pipe work with conduit and Aircon gas line foam. We didn't have any damage, plus spent a fair bit of time dust proofing as much as possible which worked well, we had very little dust inside. Also highly recommend a stone stomper if you don't have one already....

Regards
HM
