16' Series 16.49 - 1B Microvawe door not staying closed

Does anybody have the same issue? Our microvawe door seems to open on our trips. I remove the glass plate now but it still opens at times. We were very lucky to find the plate on the floor in one piece. Any suggestions on a fix?????

Maybe when they screwed it to the timberwork its flexed the micro frame and affecting the latch

May need to look at how its fixed there

Ours has never opened, the Microwave is only held in with self taping screws threw the base maybe also make sure the microwave is still secured.

Never happened to us, but i remember the deler telling me to always take the glass plate out when travelling.

Sounds like mfexpanda might be onto something though.

No problems with ours, I've never taken the plate out of the microwave, usually because I forget

We always take the plate out. Get a price on a replacement plate, I belive it's horrendous.

Yep we always remove ours from the microwave too when travelling

We remove ours, because ours was on the floor after one trip as the door opened... I dont think it is a fault as the door latch isnt that resistant.

The trick here is to have saved the piece of polystyrene that the plate fits into and in turn fits into the microwave, its a slug fit and wont move around while in transit
