. Slight back story I just replaced the tyres on the Everest originally it had 255’s now it’s got 275’s and my Speedo is now accurate so maybe I’m driving 5K faster we’ll see. Sorry Ian for hijacking your post

I'm not the OP Dave ............................. Put your tyre sizes into the bits on here and it will give you an idea of what your speedo should be shoeing, I have a Reader for the Jeep and I can change the tyre size in the BMS so it reads right but last tyre change the price of the things kept me to original size..
A mate watched me do mine and now wants me to do his  Hope it is as easy as my jayco single adjuster bolt...
Rarely any difference between makes, most use ALKO gear anyway ... I always show them how to do it with the first one then stand back for them to do the rest by the time they get to the last one they should be full bottle on it......... Its a job that all caravanners should be able to carry out .. .. Use brake cleaner to wash the dust away safely.............

I always carry a spare 2 x sets of bearings and seals and grease, as well as a proper drift to knock cones in and out...not just for my peace of mind, but also if I ever come across some poor bugger on the side of the road...
Actually, I will grease those spare bearings and wrap them up...would save having to pack the mongrels on the side of the road in the rain somewhere...:bounce:

Here's the bit I forgot...lol,lol.....https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/

Only one set for me, mine are parrellel so both are same size, socket out of my set is the drift. My spare bearing set I always pack it properly, wrapped in grease proof put back in box then vac sealed, have come across camp fire yarns where a fella has just pulled bearing out of pack and fitted, no repacking at all, got about 6 mths he said and a quick lesson in bearing maintenance from the RACV fella but he managed to replace the pther one before it fell off, was quite proud of his little kit he now had, carrried spares to replace everything bar the stub axle .......... then again I have seen a fella in a camp, bearing had melted onto the stub axle and drum had caught on fire, he never had towing mirrors as he never looked in them, enough said, it was another motorist who pulled him over and put out the fire, I was amazed the fella knew how to start his car let alone tow, he was waiting on a mechanic to arrive with whole new axle and brake set, I didn't feel at all sorry for him ...

Have now done the left rear...shoes, drums, magnet etc very good, bit more meat on these shoes. But, the bearing didn't inspire me, a mark in the cone reflected in the bearing as well. Bearing spins fine but I really don't think it felt 100%; the cone is smooth to the touch, that mark hasn't translated to a groove. The inner bearing / cone unmarked, but the roller cage felt a little loose to me.
So...replaced inner and outer cups & cones just for good measure...
