Well got home from night shift this morning and straight under the van for a mod that I have been stewing over for some months now (only cause been time poor). Earlier in the year experience some really cool weather while away, especially the first step you take when you get out bed onto the cold floor. Also when coming out of the shower, standing at the sink or even just sitting within the dining areas I think you can feel the cold coming through the floor.

If you recall Xpandafan done his flooring with carpet (which was nice to walk on under foot), though our 4 young-ins would manage to get that grimy in no time I'd imagine, then SWMBO would packing the vacuum too, love her. LOL.

So, I've brained storm 'underbody insulation', pretty much this is light weight 3mm thick doubled over insulation (not brickies paper insulation), though a polystyrene/foam material which I've utilised a staple gun to hold up against the wooden flooring. I have concentrated on all the exposed areas within the passage way and sitting areas mainly though I too done the shower.

Cheers Pace.

BP, the thought had crossed my mind though i've done it so close to the chassis beams that the air pocket envelop generated by the van shouldnt get under the insulation.

As for the water, i've had look under there in the past post driving i the wet and spray wasnt where i have positioned insulation.

Getting van out next week, wait and see. Pace.
