Yeah I think that was on Saturday , was walking the beach on Sunday morning and no sand at Mudlo Rocks, beats me why any idiot would attempt it, been pretty well impassable for a month or so now but as always they try............... the beach often wins......... Rainbow Beach towing on Faceache.

Here you go @mfexpanda this morning an hour after low tide at Mudlo Rocks, if you made it thru the water at the Rocks, 50 yards further even more fun, someone did run it while we were there but it meant running along a bar in water about calf deep.............

Low Tide was at 0500 and this was at 0600 when we walked back at about near 0700 it was getting deep.

Mudlo 1 hr after low tide....................... mudlo1.jpg

...mudlo2.jpg next surprise 50 mts on, coffee rocks and deep pools.

mudlo3.jpg.....sand is usually above these coffee rocks..

can't fix stupid can we :) always amazes me the unnecessary risks people take, guess they like paying higher insurance premiums.

Often the sand returns at Mudlo Rocks but its still impassable in fact a big hole has developed making things even worse, should be plenty of business for the Tow truck soon.

The idiots go flat out along the waters edge, forcing salt water, wet sand up into seams ,chassis rails etc.Our company used to rustproof many 4x4s.I used to tell them after 3 times on the beach without protection salt becomes a real problem.Cad plating discolors bolts rust,,alloys oxide, easy to pick a beach driven vehicle.I remember once a new Pajero owner came in for treatment ,del klms only.Put my fingers in the chassis rails, full of sand!Showed the owner,he went ballistic took it straight back to the Mitsibushi dealer in Redcliffe. Turned out had been a promo vehicle at Frasier Island fishing comp, plus the speedo wound back! Suffice to say the owner got a new vehicle plus huge amount of free bits to shut up.However the dealership got done a few times for dodgy deals. This happened around 20 years ago.

A bloke with a Jeep could probably shoot on down there and show them how its done

I would have a go in someone else's Jeep, most certainly... There is a bar running in front of the hole, someone will have a go they usually do, should keep an eye out as watching the towies extract them is really good............low tide was .63 so won't get any lower, I think it might fill back in by weekend, give it till next week and most of the sand coulld return if the stormy seas stay away.

Well the Mudlo Rocks are still impassable, I've never seen it like this for so long................ so Double Island Point and Teewah Beach are accessable from Freshwater Track or Noosa only................ already a few miss haps on freshwater from idiots who think they are the only ones using the track.
