Exterior Did the anode today

my anode after 3 years and I didn't get wet! cant believe the amount of crap that flushed out, big chunks and allView attachment 25732

Did mine last week whilst at Cotton Tree. Van is three years old and I don't think it had been done. Looks exactly like your photo.
Didn't get wet either!

My brother has just bought a 17-56-2 the same as ours. We changed his anode yesterday and can't get the 240v water heating to work? Fine on the gas. The van is 3 yrs old and the anode hadn't been changed. Have checked fuses and am now asking for any other suggestions?

The switch inside the hws door that turns the hws to 240v could be the culprit, its happened to a few now. I think jaycar sell them.

Thanks Cruza. We are heading to Jaycar today for some other bits so will have a look. It did give a little 'boot' when switching it on!

Mmmm ok mate might be worth giving it a try I guess the switchs I don't think are that expensive.

Just remember to have everything switched off and isolated and if unsure ask the experts

Replaced mine last week. New anode bought from Jayco. Wouldnt wind in fully. Good clean, little plumbing lube, no good. Out about 5mm. It's in real tight with no leak so should be ok. Must be tapered end.

The Concept has a Truma HWS, so no more anode replacements for me (stainless steel tank)

I did my Anode yesterday, only 12 months and it was almost all gone! I think I will go onto the changing every 6 month plan from now.

We're at Coral bay at the moment and I won't be pluging the van into the local water otherwise the Artesian bore water will eat the anode within a week or two. Not much difference from the Butler water though @dagree :rofl:

If you're at Peoples Park have a walk around and look for a 2014 14' Expanda with a small ali box on the drawbar. @Nagga's may still be there (Not sure if she has moved onto Kalbarri yet or not)

@dagree had a look around when arrived back and @Nagga's no where to be seen, must have been the 46 degrees heat that sent her packing out of Coral Bay :flame:
