After any advice, we are heading to Adelaide from Wollognog in the upcoming school holidays (Sept 2015 the kids have a Judo comp) with the starcraft 17.53-3 OB.
We are planning to take upto week to head across. Any advise of places to stop with kids (7 & 10) would be a great help. We have never been to Adelaide but friends have said it is easy to get around, so we dont mind where we stay in Adelaide (in the city or out of it) as long as we dont have to travel more than 1/2 an hour to get in to the city centre for the judo comp. So same as before and advice on where to call base would help. The journy back will have to be a little quicker need to do it in 2 days - looking foward to the kids being stuck in the BT50 for long periods!!!!

Adelaide shores caravan park is my choice, 10 mins from the city. As @Bluey has suggested, a trip to the whispering wall is a must then on to the big rocking horse and back to Adelaide via Melbas chocolates at Woodside and Hahndorf.
The Barossa has lots of great spots for the big kids, but not So much for the 7&10 yr olds.
There is lots to see around Glenelg and a day trip out to Victor Harbor is worthwhile, time permitting.
On the trip over, around Mildura and Renmark offer lots for families.
