evening all. Have been asked buy my Mum who has a Freedom outback to see if anyone has had problems with their windout windows, I'm assuming they are probably the same set up on all the Jayco vans. When she winds out a couple of the windows they seem to go so far then fail to proceed any further and start making a grinding noise. I'm thinking they may be the same set up as alot of the modern car windows with a worm and peg set up that strips which causes the window not to work and grind. If anyone has come across this problem and has any solutions it would be appreciated.

Nah Brad
a couple only open maybe half an inch before the things start grinding,I think I may have to go over and have a quick look at them.

My Mum's always finding things for me to fix. I'm beginning to suspect she breaks them just so I'll come over...

We find a similar description for house awning window winders too. The 'chain' part gets corroded/rusted and seizes up a bit. Open it up the half inch, spray heaps of wd40/crc wait a while and wind out a bit more, and keep repeating.
