We have just booked for xmas at Bougainvilla holiday park (Noosa QLD) from the 21th of Dec one of the only parks we could get in too. Then off to stradbroke island with the boat ,tent and my two boys to meet up with the boys because the poor wife has to go work.

You don't sound dissapointed about going to stradbroke lol!

We have been booked in since December last year @ Sunshine Coast and Lennox Head..

On the sunny coast cotton tree is very popular due to its location, but not sure on availability, most regulars keep christmas bookings very tightly held. mudjimba is good also. Depends on what you want to be near, but you better get onto seeing what is available.

As I leave on the 9th Jan every year I re-book for the following year. We've been doing the same park, same site, every year for the last 4 years, 14 nights from Boxing Day. Problem is next year my wife wants to do a cruise for Xmas holidays (for my 40th, but I don't know that yet), I need to ask park managers how we can keep the booking for the following year? Can we transfer it to a family member, pay the park some $$ to not offer it for re booking to whoever uses it?? Going to be an interesting conversation. Has anyone done this before?

If you like a quiet, well maintained traditional type park, Mudjimba CP is one we have been to many times on the Sunshine coat. Good coffee close by and a patrolled beach.
Cheers

We've booked Echuca from 3rd or 4th January, but without the van.
As we're waterskiiers and wakeboarders we take the boat and the jetskis away in summer.

Will do more long weekend trips with the van instead.

We are booked and paid for at Cotton Tree, Maroochydore. It's been the family spot for over 40 years. Generally they expect you to sublet if you can't make it for one year although I have heard of them allowing for the one year off but you have to make sure that you get your rebooking in on time.

The joy of not having school aged kids now ;)
