Hi Guys, I have start by sincerely apologising to every single forum member for going M.I.A. Believe me I have missed my Expandas Downunder family and feel terrible that I disappeared so unexpectedly.
All is good, family is all safe and well. So why the absence? Well, where to start!
In the crazy world that is mine I decided to start a completely unplanned and spontaneous total house Reno! Surely that won't surprise many of you, knowing my love for tools! Long story short, our house very quickly turned into a building site, most furniture moved to storage, with only 1 small lounge and TV balanced on a very small bedside table and our mattresses on the floor during my demo madness! It's been so time consuming and for the last couple months I have been non stop. Eating, sleeping and breathing building dust and loving every minute!
To the people that know me it's typical Lara, to an outsider it probably look like I'm bipolar going through a manic phase, Ha! I say go hard or go home!
Anyway, I have just found some well deserved time to sit back and recharge the batteries! We are happily staying in the Expanda at Narrabeen Caravan Park for the next week or so while the floors are re-done. So finally I have found some time to reconnect with you all and again apologise for my absence.
It is really nice to be enjoying the Expanda, the weathers been beautiful, with the exception of the 95kmh winds that hit yesterday. Had to double peg everything and hope for the best. All was good, and thankfully by sunset the winds died down. I have to say, I am the lucky one this week, while I'm enjoying some well deserved R&R the girls are still going to school and Andrew still working.
Until now the only other break I've had was for our 10 year wedding anniversary back on July 26th. What did we do to celebrate? Well again in true 'Lara style' we flew to the Gold Coast for a fast paced 24 hours, but was a great 24 hours. Andrew and I have 2 CP bookings for the same week in January, one at Brunswick Heads and one at Lake Ainsworth and we honestly didn't know which to keep and which to give the flick having never seen either. So we spent our 10 year anniversary flying into Coolangatta, hiring a car and driving down the coast to check them out and make a decision! And the winner is 'Lake Ainsworth' hands down, no question! Really looking forward to it now and know we have made the right choice.
Oh and before I forget the new lounge upholstery look freakin amazing! So so so pleased with it. Might post a pic tomorrow, but it will be taken with the IPad so will probably post upside down? Might have to stand on your heads to view it!!! And no, I hav'nt taken up professional upholstery, in fact I have happily handed the sewing machine back to my sister and will never never ever have a sewing machine in my house again, phew......
Just a quick heads up that I may go M.I.A again next week when we get back into the house. I have the brilliant Brother in law Christian coming to start fitting the new skirts and architraves and I'm going to be his labourer! should be fun, he's going to teach me some things like scribing the skirtings! happy days! Hope you all forgive me! But once this is all over I'll be back like before! Promise! Miss you all!
