You will love Cotton Tree. Its a great park location wise. Can get a bit ferrel in School Holidays sometimes, but if you get a caravan site, not a camp site, you will love it.

Cheers

Cotton Trees nice, on the river ... and its huge, Mooloolaba Beach is a nice spot on the beach and walk into town although the sites can be very tight, Coolum Beach is nice with easy access. Dickie Beach a little further south near Caloundra is nice, walk to beach

Mudjimba beach, not directly on the beach but across road, Although we haven't stayed there as we have a house up there which we use to escape NSW [and to relocate to in future] ,but have rode the bike through there many times and looks to be a nice quiet park in non peak times. Mudjimba beach [north shore of Maroochy river] is one of the Sunny Coast's nicest beaches.

We stayed at Big4 Maroochy Palms. Very nice, clean park. Fairly big sites too! Have also read great reviews about Cotton Tree and Dicky Beach

Have just spent 2 weeks at cotton tree over the school holidays. It is in a great position with access to the beach or river. As stated by someone else, ensure you book a caravan site. This allows you room to move.

We stay at cotton tree every sept school holidays. Can't recommend it enough. Fantastic for the kids, the river is beautiful and doesn't matter which way the wind is blowing as there are plenty of spots to choose from. And yes, get a caravan site as they are much better and usually have grass surrounding them.

Dicky beach is also lovely, stayed there a couple of times.

Good luck!
