Where to advertise a van for sale.

Hi brookes, We looked at quite a few on caravanCampingsales.com.au before deciding to go new. It's the equivalent of carsales.com.au. Can't say how successful it is, but some of them seemed to move quickly if priced well.

I recently sold our jayco camper on Gumtree,I had never heard of it before and it was FREE. I had already paid for my Tradingpost advertisment so I just copied it onto Gumtree (sold in 3 days) I got heaps of calls from the gumtree advertisment and only one from trading post.
I dont know how they survive with doing free advertising??
I looked at what other people were selling for and priced mine in the middle.

Sold our 16' on trading post, took a while to sell but it was winter. After 30 days (I think) add is free so it didn't cost us in the end!

We sold our old Millard and Jackaroo 4wd on gumtree sold the van in 2 weeks and Jackaroo in 6 weeks free ads, advertised higher price than we wanted and got what we wanted!

I used Trading Post and RV Point ( now caravanCampingsales.com.au ) when we sold our Eagle a while back, sold in 4 days just lucky I guess, Our Swan was traded on the Expanda.

Trading post got the best results with our old 16:49-3 wasn't fast but then I was asking top dollar. eBay just brought out all the cheapskates.

I sold mine on Gumtree. Free and you can add pics etc. Have had great success recently selling a range of items including a car, treadmill, colorbond and senior citizen chair!!! Most sold the same day.

I put my swan on Gumtree on a Friday afternoon, first email response in 4 hours, second person ( the person who bought it ) called Sunday got another call Monday and then pulled the add.Paid a few $ to have the add appear at the top of the page for a week.
