Where have you taken your jayco?

As the title l says I was curious where people have taken there jayco's off the black top?
We're going to be taking ours some of the way down the gibb next year and wonder who has done similar with theirs, feel free to put pics of your adventures if you wish.

Shortish road in (about 37kms) but very corrugated and sandy. Definately a shake and rattle road and much worse than our experience of G R R but a lot shorter.

Hey @Shane Norwell we will be taking our 2014 17.56-2 OB on a lap of OZ next year starting around May, we will be taking in on the GRR also, we have been told and have seen heaps of pic of Jayco's on there. Main thing is to let your tyre pressures down and also drive to the conditions.

There are also quite a few threads on here about how you can setup/protect the van when taking it offroad for example re-doing all the screws on the cupboards with slightly heavier duty screws or removing them add some silicone and put them back in...... along with heaps of stuff for under the van for protecting the pipes etc

Hopefully you should see some good pics come up on here as heaps of the forum members from what I have read have been on the GRR previously

Here are a few from our get together at and on the way to and from Cameron Corner with the Downunder group, we sold the van in January and bought a Sterling pop top and apparently "we are not going on the red stuff again!!!" I am allowed to Inskip Point but that's it. We'll see

G'day @Shane Norwell, we are still travelling at the moment, but some of the places we have taken the van so far are -
Sorry no pic's at the moment.
Full run of the Gibb River Road, including a run up Kalumbaru Road
Top of Cape Leveque, to stay at Cygnet Bay pearl farm
Gunlom Falls in Kakadu
The Mereenie Loop from Kings Canyon to Hermansburg
Into Palm Valley camp ground
There might be more but they are the main dirt roads we have travelled on.
As we picked the van up 2 weeks before we left, no prep was done for stone protection etc.
So far, we have only split the black drainage cap on the rear tank.
