Hi All, I'm just curious to know what type of wheel clamps people are using or which type you think are the most difficult to be removed by a thief. I'm looking at one of these http://www.purpleline.com.au/products-nemesis.php . What do you reckon.
P.S. I already know I'm better off with a dog, great big brick wall etc but unfortunately am in a position where my van needs to be parked in the driveway (and my dog is 13 years old and wouldn't wake up if a bomb went off). I'm not into pulling off wheels so am looking at a combination of chain, wheel clamp and GPS
Thanks
Mitch

I use a Klampit. Easy enough to get on and off.

There is a Myswag member doing a review currently on different wheel clamps with I believe some interesting results to come.

Some use an audible alarm, in combination with other things....but it might wake up the dog.

If it helps, we use a good chain ...somewhat long...and run it through the wheels, the dropdown step and then wind it around the yellow hitch lock. It just makes it more difficult for light fingers but it wouldn't stop them.

I've taken photos to convince the insurance people I tried my best....our 15 yr old dog is the backup.

A good quality clamp would do the same and that one looks ok.

If it's simple to use, you'll use it. If it's a pain you won't always bother

Thanks for the advice, I bought one of the Purpleline jobs and it looks pretty solid. I reckon it'd take me at least 5mins or so with a grinder if I was to try and cut through it so hopefully that might scare them off
