I bought a new $200 Sidchrome toolbox to keep in the van all the times.

http://www.bunnings.com.au/sidchrome-66-piece-tool-kit_p6110484

Have added:
Spare sink plugs. Broken on already.
Spare hose fittings. Yep lost one already.

I am going to add:
More screw drivers.
Long nose pliers.
Wire crimps and strippers.
Zip ties.
Small coil wire.
Electric tape.
Rope.
Fuses.
Araldite.
Screws 6g x 12mm.

Any other suggestions?

Duct tape, WD40 or Silicone Spray, some electrical wire and connectors, multimeter, assorted screws and nuts, some rags and hand cleaner are some of the extras I carry. They are carried in the truck along with my tools, in the draws I built in the back.

That toolkit looks the goods! I have the "Roothy" Toolkit that came as a freebie when I renewed a subscription to 4x4 action a few years back. In addition to above, I also have Spare pins for the Weight Distribution hitch (bower bird nicked one when we were at Rollingstone north of Townsville recently), I have a multimeter but aslo take a test light as some faults are only found under load, I have a small tube of white silicone, spare extension lead and/or adapter (for those places that don't have a 15amp plug) and tap adapters for the hose as different size taps. I also carry spare anderson plugs, spare trailer plug, solder and "Snap-on" jet lighter to use as soldering iron.

I have a Roothy tool kit which lives in my car all the time. In the van I have a Philips screwdriver. I also have an adjustable spanner, small that also lives in the van. Plus the usual jacks and so on. I like to keep it light and travel light.

Most things seem to be covered here, I also carry a 1.5m piece of the black plastic water pipe and some joiners just incase.
A small bottle of aquadhere and a box of matches, together they work well for plugging stripped screw holes.

Hahaha and if you look hard enough, you will find more than one bottle of rum stashed for emergencies ;)
