Is there a difference between air wipers and vacuum wipers?air wipers
Is there a difference between air wipers and vacuum wipers.
I had vacuum wipers on my FJ. They stopped when you planted the foot. In those days, I was bipolar. Full accelerator or full brakes.
It was fun. Really rainy days, plant the foot to get the wheels spinning and the wipers would stop. Head out of the window to see where I was heading.
Yeah, I know now it was silly and dangerous. But what I learnt in those days has since saved my life many times over.
If I had my life over, I have always wanted to be a tourist coach driver and drive freight trains, steam, electric, or diesel.
Maybe the coach driver ambition was driven partly by the nocturnal adventures

Believe it or not I did a 4-month deployment 'up-top' on Stalwart - one of the rare times the ship moved.

If we were in GI in refit or some sort of maintenance, we would run for cover as they would come around like an old style Press Gang to get replacements for the depot stanchions who would run to Kuttabul for the duration, if you'd had upset the Jimmy or Engineer you were a likely candidate and the I'm a steam man didn't matter I heard they thought it was a good time for some diesel experience............. luckily I was QM so they left me alone.
It wasn't very old when I was on it.............what an adventure for a 17 yr old kid.
Just to be clear I was on a bus, not driving a bus .... and the bus I was on had School Bus in that little window at the front. Im only a pupThere you go Chartrock. Crusty is as old as me.
Great times were had around that rock. All a good giggle until you got ten points of rain.......................coaches were not that good in wet.
Would have been a bit squeezy , two of us trying to get through that gate Crusty
So, was that where the name Maxie Moo Moo was first used and then passed on recently to a real pup?Im only a pup
Although the Princess bangs on desperately (and annoyingly) pining for another replica Maxie Moo Moo to join her wolf pack, Maxie Moo Moo remains a one off .... thus far. Maxi Moo Moo just arrived one day in spite of my absolute prohibition, so that said I wholely expect that one day Ill come home and there be another one to greet meSo, was that where the name Maxie Moo Moo was first used and then passed on recently to a real pup?
Or is there a Maxie Moo Moo, and a Maxie Moo Moo Too?
take care
