What size bedding fits table conversion?

I had a qick search and couldn't find anything mentioning what type of bedding people are using on their extra bed. For those who convert their table to a bed what do you use? Fitted sheet, flat sheet, doona? King single maybe or a double? We went with a 2 bunk van for 3 children so ours will be a permanent conversion and now that we are getting closer to pickup I think I should probably start getting organised with bedding. Cheers :)

Hi @FiveInAVan . Are you talking about the dinette table under the fold away bunk? If you are, then I just use a standard fitted single sheet.

Otherwise, in our old swan, when we converted the table area into a bed, I think I used a normal single sheet and tucked it in as best I could. kids slept in their sleeping bags when we had it, and I had old fitted cot sheets as protective covers on the seats anyway so I wasn't too concerned.
Hope that helps.

Oops, silly me. Just re read it again and realized you meant the big table.
I'd just measure it and get the sheet that fits best. (I.e. Queen is 2100 x 2100 for doonas so check out packaging on different sized sheets)

Yeah I may just have to wait until we get it like hubby suggested. Was just hoping to get an idea beforehand so I could get all the bedding beforehand. And yes, was talking about a dinette conversion

Is it for "the little princess"?

As you'll need to use the table during the day why not make it easy and fun for her by getting a special sleeping bag in the swag style so all you have to do is roll it up in the morning ...saves stuffing around with sheets etc and she can claim it totally as her own.

Might work?

Great idea, yes it is for the little princess. Unfortunately said princess still co-sleeps with me so there will be no table being used and the bed will be for both of us in the beginning. Lucky hubby gets the double all to himself...

We use a queen fitted on the bottom and queen flat sheet on top.

We did buy an eggshell topper to try and make it more comfortable as it's harder than the inner springs

we did the whole dinette with the 17.58 and used a single flat I think tucked in. With water proof mattress protector etc
So it stayed setup and we did not use the table at all was left at home..

With the 22.68 last trip out we dropped the table for twin 2 :( just used a blanket under him and a waterproof protection sheet :) he is just out of nappies :)
Been thinking to get him one of these to he is bigger so can be moved a ready bed

I then thought a clark rubber single bed we make up and put on top. So after they wake up we move the lot on top of one of the single bunks.

Be interested what others do? I did think sleeping bag as well. Although at his age I know he might have a accident or two or three or ...

Four?

Don't worry. He'll get older and so will the others.

Nappies will be a thing of the past and an uncomfortable memory.

Then the real fun begins!

@davemc I have one of those, princess pink of course, hadn't thought about using that. They blow up but would probably only be good for up to a 3yr old in length. Haven't used it yet, except to play in once. I like the idea of a single bed moveable option. I hadn't really thought past the co-sleeping (because that feels never ending!).
