The decision has been made on a Expanda 16.49-4. What are the must have factory options? Or is aftermarket better?

Personally I'd keep it simple.

- Exended drawbar so you can fit a toolbox or bikes on the front. The extension is 300mm.

- Light on opposite side to door.

- Drifter control panel.

- Full oven if you like your food

- 150L Fridge.

Do these yourself afterwards
- Solar power/panels and regulator.
- External shower (this takes up precious cupboard space. Can easily put plumbing under the van).
- Extra power points / 12 volt sockets. (Jayco will either forget or put in the wrong spot, better to use van first and add where you need them).
- Speakers / radio. You can purchase a separate bluetooth dock/speaker which will sound ten times better for a fraction of the cost.

Get the Outback if size and weight and funds allow. If you have height restrictions you can have hatches deleted from the roof. Also delete the solar provision. Mine has a 'clean' roof so it can get under the carport, have about a 10mm gap.

What was the height of your carport?

2400mm, sorry but you ain't parking it at my place.:)

Dont rush your decision, you've only been a member here for 3 days. You need to do a heap of reading before you even think about walking into a Jayco dealership.

2013 Discovery 17.55.5 , now called a Journey. With the new suspension introduced in 2014 probably no chance. I was lucky I bought the 2013.

What van was it? I have 2400mm height in the shed and specs say I have no chance.

I don't know what is standard on your model but consider a second water tank.
