What gear to tow in jeep GC

Hi need advice , have a MY15 jeep GC 8 speed auto. Should I tow in lower gears or in sports mode. Jeep service centre recommend just put it in drive and enjoy the ride what's everyone else's thoughts

I put mine in drive and just enjoy the journey.

Sport mode when I remember (this lowers my car and drops my suspension to cruising height early as I have Quadralift).

Nothing more to it!

Don't be afraid to use your gears down very steep hills for a bit of braking. Other than that, enjoy!

Mine is an old slapper with a 5 speed, depending on where we are heading it usually stays in drive and sport mode when I remember as it holds in gear longer and changes back sooner, not sure on these new fangled 8 speeds though

I do the same as @twscoot and after 60,000km I have had no issues.

Put it in D, and usually flick over to sports mode (5sp) and let it do its thing.
Too easy.

D for drive, it has a computer to do the thinking, these electronic boxes know you have something heavy behind and perform better than the old slush boxes.....
