Back home and the VAN gets a good tubs and polish...............have used a few types but is there any decent polish that still works after a good road trip wash that doesn't cost $40 a bottle...............years ago I found Porzalac Wax was pretty good . Want something that can handle the weather and road grime, some of this stuff is great for show and shine but not much chop in the real road world.

So what do you use on your Van ???????

Yeah well it got moved to Tow Vehicles and I was asking about Van polish, so who knows ???? Have refurbished the original so there is no doubt about the question, at least I think I have..............replied to the other bodgy thread anyway........and have found out that you can't delete a thread you started except by selective editing......... so sorry for the confusion.

I use a cheap'ish fibreglass boat wash and wax. Seems to work ok

Same here and the old expanda (2007 model) looked as good the day we sold it as the day we picked it up.... Although it was 4 years old when we picked it up ;)

Yep I looked at those posts @cruza driver but they are basically about the 3M product which I have never seen on the shelf but I've got some Septone Fibreglass Restorer and Wax, for boats but brings everything up very nice just have to see how it goes after a run down the road.

I use the Septone, and it seems to do the job

I used that Septone stuff in the shower @Crusty181, to see if it would sort out the yellowing plastic, improved it a little bit but the best thing I found out is that when you use the shower the clean up is easier as the water on the walls just beads and runs away.
When I get back I have a recipe for refurbishing the yellow plastic, hope it works as my wash basin is a nice creamy colour.

Good work @Drover, Ill tub up my shower with the stuff now. I did get a little concerned with what the hell you were using it on in the shower, and which part of you was yellow to start with. Ha. But a wave of relief came over me as I read on. A good alternate use for the polish I think, well done

This is the stuff I got from Supercheap $15, does a really good job on the outside walls, multiple hits by birds doing bombing runs and it all came off easy and no loss of shine.

Just got back from 7wk trip to visit the children in queensland ,at least the rain was warm, but the Expanda Outback 16.49.3 is starting to look tired a 2005 model it looked a bit Scruffy in Noosa parked next to new vans (felt a bit out of place when in the morning they ran a chamois or micro cloth over it) then did there 4x4.
Hence when we got home looked for a polish ended up buying OWENO FIBRE-SHINE from Mainstyle Edwardstown adelaide its good and only paid $13.95 van looks better than when we bought it 3yrs ago would love to upgrade to hard lid model but after 30,000+ and only a rivet on showerdoor and a jammed toilet pump why change,

try the Polish it worked for me.

Yes, it was all a bit depressing and sad to be surrounded by all the sparkly new van ..... until that chamois came out. Thats when my spirits would have skyrocketed, and my opinion of the new vans plummeted.
