Hey All,

Hoping someone can help. I am installing my Drifter Control Panel, all done but for the water tank senders.

The think came with no installation instructions, i have sorted everything but for the senders in the tank. More particularly the locations. It has a gang of 3 senders in a set, there is 4 quadrants on the gauge. So at what points on the tank do they go?

I know there are few guys that have got the Drifter Panel with their vans lately, any chance of a photo of the senders, i assume they will be visible.

Any guide would be great.

Soaring Here it is. All 4 the same. 3 water, 1 grey water. Obviously the grey spade terminal goes to the unit, but how do you get 4 levels on a tank with 3 gauges?

Hmm. That is a puzzle. Hopefully someone can post a pic, but my logic says divide the height of the tank in half, then half the top and the bottom Sections. That's the three points that senders need to go. How the control panel works out the 4 increments from there beats me.
the senders I've used in the past have a float or sliding mechanism.
you could do some trials with a few buckets of water to see if you can Work it out.

Yeah I would do the bucket of water too.
Drop a couple of the senders in the water and see what the readout is on the unit.
Have you googled "Drifter Instructions" ?
you never know what you will find.

Hi Mate

Have taken a pic but its a bit dark hope it helps:

Sensors start from top of tank anf work their way down from top to bottom on awning/entrance side of van
In this order:

Green top of tank towards front
Yellow next one stepped down
Blue next
White at bottom rear corner

Pic attached but its a bit dark, hope this helps
Pic is taken looking from behind awning side wheel
If you need anymore pics I will try in lighter times!

Thanks Hammish, that is what I was after. So from your discription there is 4 senders in the tank? Top, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4? Thanks for the help mate, bit annoying ingot no instructions with it.

Yeah from the top left corner it goes green then steps down in angles to yellow then blue then the white/grey at the bottom which by your pic seems to be missing the sensor!

If you need any more help that I may be able to give pm me!

Thanks guys,

i think this answers my question. The last sensor goes to ground, so I will bastardise 1 of the sets to make 3 full sets, I am never going to use the grey water sender.. I suggest Jayco fit the last one on its own as it does not need to tie back to the read out. I will have a play tomorrow but this no tallies with another drawing I have.
