Water pump indicator light

Hobart Tas.
Just got home today from week long free camping in Tasmanian highlands, my longest free camp period yet. Only problem was running water tanks dry, and not hearing water pressure pump trying to pump water all night because of strong winds and deep sleep induced by several nice red wines!
This resulted in next morning finding nothing much electrically operating, and the battery system had cut out presumably from a low battery voltage protection system.
Question - Has anybody thought about fitting a pump operating light?
Next day my solar controller indicated the biggest amperages I've ever seen, so I'm thinking if normally battery is pretty much full, the controller only indicates the trickle charge, not what amps the solar panel may theoretically be able to produce.
A water tank top up, a nice sunny day, and life was grand once again. Cheers Ron

An LED indicator light wouldn't be that difficult to fit, would come on with pump, hard to see if your asleep though.......I follow @G Daddy idea most of the time.
But a good problem to put thinking caps on with, a cut out for no water would be ideal but could cause more problems........

I like the idea of turning it off at night / going out
when we had the Flamingo, we (I) only turned the pump on when I needed to get water from the tank, turned it off right after use

a friend of mine had a small leak, went out for the day, came back to a flooded Van, because the pump just kept pumping

Have looked at various options and really the best is to just turn the pump off, other ways just more stuffing around, maybe move pump switch to near door ????/ Did think of just flicking the 12 v switch off in Big Mal but that would turn the 12v power to fridge off, not for running the fridge but power to the circuit board brain, not a good move.....................

Turning off the 12v switch will also stop the setec charging the battery

I am with the idea of turn on / off, similar to external water. May need to consider a switch location change so that for those times water is needed after people go to bed it is convenient to turn on and off.

For these occasions may wish to consider a momentary on delay off switch in parallel (or multiple) so after you have switched it off you push the switch and you have water for 5 minutes and then off. During the day switch on at normal switch.

Hey !!!!!!!! just a faint buzzing when the pump comes on, I thought it was a great idea actually, one can yell at kids when using too much water and lets you know when tank is empty or there is a leak in the line...................you all want to go high tech all the time.
