How is the roll out awning sealed in the channel,we have leaks along the channel especially when the two extra stays are put in place .

On the van side or the drum side? If at the van side they leak along the stitching near the sail track
there is no sealant in the track for the awning, the seal is created by tension. so maybe check that your awning is very tight when open, as a loose awning WILL leak water.
Hi there,
I had a leaking awning with water splashing in through the sail track, the awning was tight but with heavy rain and moderate wind the awning was lifting slightly and splashing in.
I raised the front of the van slightly which drained the water out of the track and completely stopped the leak.

Solution..... Silicon jayco love the stuff...they use it from time to time......lol
the problem with silicon is that if/when you need to remove the awning due to damage or anything else. a tight awning should stop any leaks.
