Those of you who have a washing machine in your van:
1. What type is it?
2. Do you rate it?

We are looking to buy one for our 17.56.2 & were just wondering what people use
Cheers!

When we were looking at new vans a washing machine was not on our "to have" list. However, now that we have one in our Retreat, we use it all the time when we are in caravan parks. It is a Camec 2.5kg top loader. We use it every 2-3 days to do the light stuff. Takes about 25 mins to do a load.

We opted for a full size fitted after delivery. With 3 kids it gets used regularly.

We have a Lemair 3kg job and it's great, won't do sheets but everything else is okay, we use it at least every 2nd day , they do use a heap of water but have found it invaluable.

We have the Sphere 3kg. Not permanently mounted as we had it in our last van. Has paid for itself a few times over with four squids. Only thing I don't like is the beep when it's done!

Hi @Scoobz

We have a 2012 17.56-2, family of 4. We have purchased the Companion 2KG washing machine. We take it with us on some, not all trips, based on where we are going.

Does a really good wash, does not weigh much either. We even us it when off-grid via an inverter. My wife does like it too!

From memory, picked it up at BCF on special for around $95. I know they are around $129 to $149.

Cheers,

Rohan

I stand corrected, just been informed ours does do sheets...............

dont ya just love it when they correct you..............(in my case, usually followed by a slap to the head..........)

I put my dirty clothes in it when showering then bang they are washed and in my draws and cupboard all folded nicely just like magic

Gee that is a flash machine @mfexpanda , mine the clothes only get to the end of the bed.......:o

we have one of those Magic ones at home, put it in the basket
next time I'm looking for it, its washed and folded and in my chest of draws (only sat on the bed the once - I didnt see them when I went to bed, got a bollocking in the morning - but they never appeared on the bed ever again

So that would imply that we had better stand up wind when your on holidays then.............................
