Hi all,

Anyone that visits the area or ever dreams of going there (including our members from over east) could you please voice your concern by emailing the people listed below. Would also be great to CC the station managers if you do stay at any of them.

It is important to put our concerns across, also on behalf of these station lease holders who do an incredible amount of work to give us a great place to camp. This is an awesome piece of paradise that I hope my kids kids will be able to enjoy!

If they close these camps I will be setting up camp at the front of our Parliament House!

Cheers,

Scott

This is concerning as we had planed to spend a few days on Ningaloo station in July . My family and friends attended a meeting on Ningaloo station in July 2008 which the then minister for the area also came along to so as ordinary Joe Blow campers like us could have a say. I had assumed the change of government in Sept 08 had slowed the grab obviously not!

The Local Polly (Sorry can't remember his name) and Phil Kendrick address the crowd

This young fella shared a great story about camping on the station

We are booked in for 2 weeks in July, so it is a worry not knowing what is happening.

There are thousands of people that travel north each year, especially during the July school holidays, so it is going to be interesting to see where we all go.

This may put a dampener on our upcoming plan for my long service leave in the next couple of years.... We were about to plan an inland trip north up to Karijini NP then across to the coast and follow it south home including several stops along the Ningaloo coastline on the way. Hopefully the powers to be see the light and cancel any idea of these so called "Glamping Resorts".... End of Rant as I am Not Happy Jan!!!!
